Looking for any information regarding Levi William
Hutton ( "Al" ) b. 1860 Iowa, resided town of Wallace, Shoshone Co. Idaho 1885 - 1915 ? In 1887
he married May (Arkwright). Both Levi and May were orphaned in early childhood, and they
opened their own home to children who were lost, orphaned or just downright unfortunate. In 1917
they bought property in Spokane for a farm. It is my understanding that he also maintained a farm
in Idaho, whereabouts unknown. The farms were run by unfortunate children of Idaho &
Washington much like an orphanage. I am trying to locate the farm in Idaho. I have heard it may
have been in Kootenai Co. - If I can get a location, I will be able to look them up on the 1910
census to see if there is a list of inmates names. I am searching for a record of my father Joseph

My grandparents, Marie and Bern
Thompson, homesteaded on the Coeur D'Alene Indian Reservation when it was opened to white
settlement. They moved there sometime in the late 1890's to early 1900's. My father, Paul
Raymond Thompson, was born in Coeur D'Alene on August 29, 1910. My grandparents built a cabin
on their claim. I have a parceled map of the Coeur D'Alene Reservation but I don't know what
parcel my grandparents had. I also don't know when or why they moved from Idaho, so I would
be interested in any deed information from the 1910's regarding the sale of their parcel. I know
they moved to Washington State and then settled in San Jose, CA around the time my father was
13, which would be around 1923. I'd appreciate any information about my ancestors time in Idaho,
such as parcel claims, deeds, property sales and births. -26 September, 1999

I know that my uncle Albert W. Mason and his wife Bertha Montgomery Mason lived in Coeur

brothers, Amasa and Edgar PICKETT, moved to Rathdrum, Idaho. They were living in Rathdrum at
the time of my ggreatmother's death that took place in Colfax WA in 1898. Catherine died in
Bellingham, Washington but I have no idea what happened to the BOYINGTONS. I found an entry
in my grandmother's diaries that states that she and her husband visited Rathdrum in the early
50s and found people that remembered the three families. My grandmother also visited the farm
the Boyingtons worked but all the buildings were gone. I have information that a Caroline
BOYINGTON, d. abt 1899, is buried in the Pine Grove Cemetery in Rathdrum. Her husband's name
was Henry BOYINGTON and they had a son, Earry, that was thirteen in 1900. I have no idea if
Henry, Caroline and Earry are related to my BOYINGTONS. Any information on any of these people
would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Janet Enloe - Great Falls, MT -27 June, 1999

Can anyone help me find Adoption records for the period before and around the turn of the
century? My Grandmother lived in Harrison, her adopted father was a Steamboat Capt. on the
Georgia Oaks. Her name was Georgia Genoveve. Her last name was Johnson, I believe. The
Steamboat was named for her. I would appreciate help with this, I know records of birth were kept
after 1907.I should imagine adoption records were loosely kept. Any direction you could point me
would be appreciated. -27 June, 1999

I am searching for daughters of Cory and Mary (Briscoe) Judkins who lived in Coeur D'Alene.
Cory died July 15, 1963 and his wife Mary died in 1977. They had three daughters I believe. We
had a double kinship relationship with the Judkins and the Briscoes and lots of stories to tell and
share from Alma Center, Wisconsin roots. I do hope I find them as I am going to Washington state
later this month and would dearly like to find them before I head west. -9 May, 1999

I am doing research on my father's family. The Knutsen (sometimes spelled "Knutson")
family moved from Wisconsin to Harrison in the late 1800s. One or two children may have died
while the family resided in Harrison. I am seeking information concerning births, deaths,
marriages, work history, stories about the family, etc. It is my hope to assemble a family tree
book for my father's 80th birthday. Other surnames which may be familiar are: Hendrickson,
Waldo, Remlinger, Esslinger, and Edwards. -25 March, 1999
Lloyd and Sue Robinson suelloyd@mail.cruzio.com
I am seeking information on two ancestors who lived in Coeur d'Alene in the early 1900s.
Cassius M.C. Robinson married Eva Hubbard in Coeur d'Alene, February 27, 1904. Both Cassius
and Eva are listed in the 1910 census for Bonner County as living in Spirit Valley. Cassius and Eva
homesteaded in Saskatchewan, Canada in 1912, but later returned to Coeur d'Alene. My
understanding is that some time after they returned, Cassius (Cash) Robinson became a Senator in
Idaho (presumably at the State level), and I am particularly interested in finding out anything
which can confirm this fact. I am also seeking information on his brother, Charles Burdette
Robinson, who also lived in Coeur d'Alene in the early 1900s, and is listed in the 1910 census for
Kootenai County, Idaho. Charles Robinson and his family also emigrated from Idaho to
Saskatchewan about 1912, but did not return. I understand that Charles Burdette (Bob) Robinson
ran a general store in Coeur d'Alene about 1910. The store probably included a tobacco shop and
pool hall. I would be most grateful if you have any information on either of these two ancestors of
my husband. Many thanks, Sue Robinson -8 March, 1999

My grandmother, Elizabeth Heyer, was buried in Pine Grove Cemetary Aug. 12, 1910, with
the services apparently handled by Cassedy-Penman Funeral Home. Could you tell me if they are
still in existence; or if not, who might have their records? I'm trying to find out where she was
born - I know in Wisconsin, but have never been able to determine which county or town. I
thought there may be a possibility of some sort of record there that might include that information.
I found her and my grandfather's names in the Kootenai County books compiled by the Shanes last
week in Boise, as well as a small article in the Rathdrum Tribune of that date. Any information or
ideas will be greatly appreciated. Vern Heyer - Melba, Id. -20 February, 1999
